No. If you're looking to be part of a tour group where you get taken from A to B and babysat by a guide then our trips aren't for you...
We'll organise accommodation plus activities/parties at the checkpoints but you're responsible for yourself between them. Whilst the checkpoints will be a lot of fun, the bits in the middle will be your slice of adventure!
They'll be fun! At the start of each leg we'll give you details of the next checkpoint and how many days we expect it'll take to get there.
We'll sort accommodation for a few nights and arrange some fun & activities for you.
If it takes you a day longer to get to the checkpoint then that's not too much of an issue. However, to keep everyone on time everyone will head out for the next checkpoint on the same day.
Up to you. For maximum adventure we recommend you limit their use, but it's really your choice.
This is your holiday so do whatever makes you have the best time. Some teams will use them all the time, others a little and hopefully some of you won't use them at all.
We want you to be chatting to locals and taking routes less travelled.
The old fashioned way. We'll give you a paper map (yes they do still exist) and beyond that the point of this adventure is you'll make it up as you go along!
You can use any mode of transport you'd like and the reality is you'll be asking lovely locals for the way forward.
Unlike the show. No, this is not a race. We will however set you some challenges to complete en route.
The adventure. This is the why we're called unscripted. There is no itinerary and what happens is up to you.
When you leave a checkpoint (or start) we'll tell you the next destination and how how long it should take you to get there. You'll use maps, nous and friendly locals to find your way and places to stay. You'll be amazed at where things take you.
As this isn't a race you won't need be on 16 hour buses everyday and you'll have time to enjoy yourself en route.
Yes & no. At the start of trip we'll give you a fat stack of cash. Well not that fat otherwise it'd be too easy. The amount should be enough to get you through the journey but not necessarily in the boujeeist manner all the time.
If you do want to be boujee or overspend then you should bring along debit/credit cards to pay for extras. To be honest it's probably sensible to have some as backup anyway!

We can only assume your entire friendship group is going to want to do this and you can make your team as big a you'd like. Lots do it in groups of 2 to 4 and at this amount can make it easiest to get around. If you want to do this solo then that's also great!
If you'd be up for teaming up with other solo travellers then we can put you in touch with each other.
